- I carry out planned, unplanned and breakdown maintenances on the electrical systems. These systems involves high and low electrical voltages 24V to 33kv. The electrical equipments I work on are electrical transformers (33kv, 6.6kv, 0.525kv, 0.4kv), Over head cranes upto 100 tons, Conveyor belt, un-interruptible per supplies, Switch gears ( indoor and outdoor sub stations), Variable speed drives, electrical motors etc. In my daily activities am not limited to access different areas and environments. I work in the Acid plant, Oxygen plant, Sulphide filter plant, Material handling plant and the Smelter. I possess an Elevated work platform operator's permit and I have phobia for height. I have got a good understanding of instrumentations and I also practice basic boiler making. Having obtained almost all of my fourteen years work experience from a mining environment, I feel am better placed to interact with the mechanical, instrumentations and electrical crews in the quest of reducing plant down time whenever there's a breakdown. I am more than happy to bring it to your attention that I have been involved in constructing, commissioning and operations of three major plants.
