• Within this role as a trainee, I was required to design sites for telecommunication equipment to be deployed for 2-5G networks to be established for 3UK, EE and Vodafone. Utilising AutoCad, I would be required to draw up site plans and elevations of the existing and proposed technologies on site, appropriately depict the proposed position of equipment and carry out essential assessments and calculations to ensure a site is safe for upgrade. However, shortly after commencement of employment at Sitec, my role shifted towards checking existing drawings for errors, sending them back to a CAD Technician and once received back I would issue a site for upgrade. This aspect of the role has enabled me to gain experience from the additional degree of responsibility and expertise that I consistently gained on a daily basis. Furthermore, I have only become more proficient in the relevant software that I have long been familiar with in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

• This role consisted of curating construction drawings for bespoke glass installations of various forms utilizing AutoCAD. The specific duties of this role involve utilizing existing drawings and site survey information to produce plans, sections and elevations of the proposed glass fittings. These installations may be in the form of a balustrade, partition, roof panel, window opening a glass door and more. After analysis of the existing information on-site and its specific conditions and constraints, accurate adherence to the clients' demands are executed to ensure their requirements are met. This opportunity has provided me with greater knowledge of construction collectively and specifically within the glass making industry as I have come to terms with the essential components required for fittings and installations. Furthermore, I have acquired more holistic knowledge of architecture and structural requirements throughout the design process through studies of various building typologies presented within each project. These may have consisted of more contemporary structures such as offices and modern dwellings or older buildings such as churches and barns. This opportunity ultimately requires adaptation within the design process to meet any client needs by interpreting drawings and survey information in both two- and three-dimensional format.

• My current role requires me to carefully curate and design clean-room spaces, steelwork components and fixtures for fabrication, construction and ultimate installation. I have acquired significant knowledge and experience in designing HVAC, ceiling layouts, and producing bespoke steelwork drawings for the specific requirements any particular project. I have also developed my skillet with Revit, building on the experience from university and prior work placements. This has enabled me to become more well-versed in spatial and structural design within various software packages, including AutoCAD MEP and Navis. Furthermore, this role requires me to be communicative and diligent in dealings with clients and component suppliers on a regular basis to progress every project at it's highest capacity and ensure all aspects of the design are met and covered.
